Myo-Fascia Release £59 per hour
What is it?
FACT: the fascia and muscles are responsible for positioning the bones in the body. Restricted fascia will pull the bones out of proper alignment, causing restricted movement or bad posture.
FACT: the fascia holds 23% of the body water – hydration is so important!
FACT: it extends from the top of the head to the ends of your toes in one continuous sheet of tissue
There is a gel in the fascia that can change from a solid state and then back to a gel. Regular exercise, stretching and good hydration promotes a fluid state in the fascia.
A sedentary lifestyle with poor hydration and any tissue trauma from an injury, can cause the gel to thicken and solidify. This may lead to a decreased range of motion, tension and postural imbalances and overall lethargy.
Heat is generated during a myo-fascia release massage… stimulating the tissue stirs the gel into an active state and raising energy levels in the tissue, reducing these negative conditions.
Dealing with problems in the fascia allows the other tissues and organs to function normally.
Myo-Fascia Release massage treatment could be confined to one area or incorporated into the whole massage – sustained pressure and rolling techniques on the problem area stretches and lengthens the ‘stuck’ skin.
